The church should have a level of fellowship that is stronger than community in the world. The church is a place of acceptance, love, and unity. We accept one another as Christ has accepted us. The church is a place of togetherness and community.

Matthew, we talked by phone today (you called me). I thought I had been to your website before and seen your writing in response to a book I edited on unity and your analysis of it. I would be happy to further explore your thesis of attitude first, doctrine second. I'd find itespecially intriguing using Pentecost as a case study. I'm not sure one has to choose between attitude, relationship or doctrine. Sadly, when such are set up as antagonists against one another, doctrine often seems to be what is sacrificed. I look forward to further discussion with you. I appreciate the kinds words you said via phone about my preaching and my work.
