The rebate companies seek to confuse, complicate, and create a situation where people will give up or forget about getting the rebate back. The rebate companies place a ton of hoops for people to jump through to deter them from following through on the rebate return. Unfortunately, some people picture God has wanting to work against them for salvation instead of working for them for salvation. In Galatians 5:1-6 Paul rejects the religion that causes extra hoops for people to jump through to be saved.
